The Graduate Trainee Management/Systems Accountant role
combines weekly & monthly management/financial reporting with cost control and ERP systems development initiatives.
Thurles, County Tipperary.
Onsite, permanent, full time.
Your Qualifications:
* A Relevant Bachelor's degree
* A minimum 2:2
* Desire to further studies as Chartered, Management or Certified accountant
Your Experience:
* Recent Graduate (within the last 12 months)
* Ambition, motivation & drive to succeed
* Ability to work under pressure
* A self-starter willing to take on responsibility
* Ability to organise with strong attention to detail
* Strong analytical and excel skills
* Good interpersonal skills
* Strong written and oral communication skills.
Your Responsibilities:
* Involved in weekly accounts preparation/reporting with responsibility for specific cost/revenue centres - insight into importance of weekly accounts in controlling & driving the performance of a business.
* Management Accounting reporting; interaction with Operations on product yields, stock control/valuations & labour costs etc
* Financial Accounting; monthly accounts preparation & balance sheet reconciliations
* Financial modelling- Budgeting/Rolling forecasts - 52-week Budget/Rolling Forecast model. Insight into the interaction of the Budget/Rolling Forecast model with Weekly/Monthly Reporting
* Systems Development from a Finance perspective:
o To develop the accounting systems and related financial processes to meet the changing needs of the organisation.
o ERP system development across the various Finance modules including systems implementation and testing
o Development (& testing) of Management/Financial Reports utilising Business Intelligence reporting software
o Enhanced cost management by fully utilising ERP functionality & BOM details
o Automate and enhance the integration of Accounts Payable processes with Supply Chain & Warehouse functions
o Develop enhanced system based internal controls
o Propose and delivery process business improvements
* Collaborate with the IT Department and technology product teams to develop new solutions and enhance existing ones
* Ad hoc Financial Project work

Our Finance team are at the heart of our business with responsibility for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information, safeguarding assets and overseeing compliance and controls
The Finance team is also tasked by the business with a forward-looking brief, focused on planning, budgets, and forecasting, providing action-led analysis through real-time reporting.
We continue to evolve through improving systems, automating as much as possible, understanding the business, and increasing its technical and analytical skills.
