Aon Is Looking For A Retirement Associate (Toronto)As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Retirement Consulting business group within Aon Hewitt, in our Toronto, Ontario office. As a Retirement Associate, you will provide actuarial and administrative support to the local Retirement Actuarial Consultant team in the servicing of existing clients and prospects. Your Impact As A Retirement AssociateJob Responsibilities:Preparation of all aspects of pension plan funding actuarial valuations which include data reconciliation, benefit calculations, asset summaries and contribution requirements;Preparation of actuarial valuations for accounting purposes;Preparation of costings and projections;Assisting consultants to help our clients with day-to-day pension issues and questions;Participating in internal seminars regarding current industry issues and technical training; andWorking with a variety of Excel-based actuarial tools.You Bring Knowledge and ExpertiseRequired Experience:Minimum of 1 – 3 years of relevant experience;Relevant experience in a consulting or insurance environment working in a pension department is preferred; A superior ability in mathematics and financial analysis, and demonstrated computer skills using financial spreadsheet programs;Superior interpersonal skills, both written and oral. Must be a highly motivated, customer-service and team-oriented individual;Ability to work under deadlines, and ability to work on several projects simultaneously is critical;Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is an asset; and Applicants who do not have the industry experience, but have the required education and skills will also be considered. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate, looking to gain experience in the retirement consulting field. Education:Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or related field; Commitment to professional development.
