Caregiver/Home Care Aide ($15 -$18)
Under the direction of the Program Director, the Home Care Aide (also known as Caregiver) reports to the Care Manager. Home Care Aides, give assistance to people who are sick, injured, mentally or physically disabled, or the elderly and fragile. Come and join the Grandcare team and become a friend to a senior! We will provide you with the training and support you need to turn a job into a rewarding career! If you are compassionate and like to help seniors, please read below to see if you're qualified to join our team. Our services are customized to the specific needs of our clients. So, your duties will vary by the client but may include some of the following:
Companionship or Sitter care
Meal preparation and clean up
Errands and incidental transportation to appointments
Light housekeeping and laundry
Assistance with Activities of Daily Living such as:Assistance with Transferring and locomotion
Assistance with toileting and incontinence issues
Medication and appointment reminders
Assistance with grooming and bathing
Parkinson’s and Dementia Care
Compensation starting between $15- $18 per hour based on experience, availability, and client location. Our onboarding includes (Physical, Drug Test, Lift Test, and TB Test - paid by the company) all hours of training also paid by the company; flexible schedules; referral bonuses, and the potential to qualify for health care benefits and sick pay. We offer COVID-19 training and follow strict protocols for your safety and the safety of our clients. PPE is made available to all staff when placed on a case (gloves, mask, wipes, sanitizer, etc.). We also have a $300 bonus for new employees that are hired and that meet a set of required criteria for the first 90 days of employment (ask recruiter for details).

Qualifications
Positive attitude, kind, caring, and commitment to the team
Good written and oral communication skills
Mobile device skills (able to use a smartphone or tablet)
Able to pass a Live Scan and background check
3 verifiable personal and 3 verifiable professional references
must have a flexible schedule, able to work on some weekends and holidays
Licenses/Certifications:
HCA Registration - Registered with the California Department of Homecare Bureau – (we can assist with the registration process)
Current driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable transportation
CPR preferred (not required)
First Aide Preferred (not required)
Experience:
While prior home care experience is preferred, no prior experience is required.
Selection Criteria:
Home Care employees are selected on the basis of such factors as a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick, ability to read, write, and carry out directions, and maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job. They are closely supervised to ensure their competence in providing care.
Continuing Education Requirements
Agency personnel is expected to participate in appropriate continuing education as may be requested and/or required by California statute. In addition, agency personnel are expected to accept personal responsibility for other educational activities to enhance job-related skills and abilities and must attend mandatory educational programs.
Complexity:
The ability to perform highly detailed work with sustained attention and care while providing/obtaining information on numerous inquiries is paramount to success in this position.
