Title: Forklift Operator – Full Time – Sanford, NC 27332

We are offering a $1000 sign-on bonus for all new hires. We have open positions for 2nd shift.

Position Description:

This position is responsible for entry level non-skilled general labor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Requirements

This position is responsible for ensuring all materials are transported and/or unloaded in a timely manner while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Essential Job Functions:

Must be able to unload product/packaging/and ingredients into appropriate storage area

Must be able to prepare paperwork for product/packaging received as well as incoming carrier Inspection reports

Must be able to keep production lines stocked properly

Must be able to operate Forklift and Pallet Jack

Assures FIFO Inventory Method is being performed throughout the department

Stage ingredients and packing materials in designated areas

Check and reports any damaged product

Must follow all safety procedures and policies when operating equipment

Must notify QA / Supervisor of any suspected contamination

Must be able to be licensed as a forklift operator

This position will be responsible for supporting Shipping and Receiving departments as needed

Significant Work Site Measurements:

Hours worked: Eight (8) hours per day; some six (6) or seven (7) day work weeks

Breaks: Two (2) twenty (20) minute paid breaks per shift

Work Environment: Will be exposed on a routine basis to warm temperatures ranging 65-90 degrees, wet/ and or humid conditions, adequate lighting, slippery floors in areas, concrete floors, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, noise level loud requiring hearing protection
