 If you are interested in gaining experience working in the mental health and substance abuse field, we have the perfect position for you. Our Acute Stabilization Unit in Providence is looking for a candidate to work as a mental health treatment assistant. 

No mental

health experience needed as this is an entry level position.

 We have 

3 and 4-day work weeks available, 36 hours full-time. 

 This position works directly with individuals experiencing a mental health or substance abuse crisis. Treatment assistants are responsible for ensuring patient safety, demonstrating professional behavior, and keeping established rules/protocols while maintaining patient dignity. As a treatment assistant you will also be responsible for assisting in treatment groups and activities on the unit as well. Treatment assistants also assist clients

in activities of daily living ( showering, laundry, meals, etc.) and c

onduct client safety checks/rounds to observe and record behaviors as part of their daily duties.

Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment. Being safety focused, detail oriented,

and the ability to respond to emergencies or crises is an important aspect of this position.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIRED:

High School diploma or equivalency. One year experience in a human service-related field preferred.

All staff must be vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to starting work, unless a certified medical exemption accommodation is granted. Proof of vaccination must be shown upon hire.
