Cox, Castle & Nicholson, a prominent California law firm with offices in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Orange County, currently has a Conflicts Clerk position opening in our Century City Office
Under the supervision of the Conflicts & Intake Supervisor, the Conflicts Clerk will be responsible for performing conflicts checks on clients and other parties to identify potential conflicts of interest. The Conflicts Clerk will work closely with other members of the Conflicts/Intake team, as well as firm attorneys and their assistants, to prepare and analyze conflict check reports. The position requires acute attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational and researching capabilities, and the ideal candidate must work well under pressure and have excellent oral and written communication skills. This position is a great opportunity for an entry level graduate who is looking to get into the legal field. Extensive training will be provided.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Review new business intake requests for accuracy and completeness
Research new clients and other parties to ensure that entities are correctly identified
Perform conflict searches in Elite and prepare conflict check reports
Assist in the review, research and preparation of lateral conflict check reports
Assist with the intake process as needed
Other tasks as assigned
