The primary duties for this position consist of genotyping genetically modified mice using PCR, preparing solutions and materials for the lab, and performing routine lab chores. The ideal candidate would be a student in a biomedical or natural science undergraduate program, in their first through third year of study. No experience necessary, but applicant needs to be conscientious and detail oriented. The individual will be supervised by an experienced lab member while learning the required techniques.
Minimum Qualifications: Enrolled at a post-secondary institution or a secondary school.
Enrolled at least part-time (one or more credit hours if at a post-secondary institution), with the exception of summer term, or will be a registered student during the next academic term
“Enrollment” shall include:
The period between two successive terms for which the student is enrolled.
The one “off” term in each academic year in which the student is not enrolled.
Student employee status may be maintained for one additional term following graduation or withdraw from enrollment.
Appointed as a Co-Op Student, Student Worker, or Work Study Student as needed.
